You can help our school by donating as much as you're able to.
Only through your generous donations are we able to extend and enrich Arroyo’s school programs and curriculum to provide an exemplary elementary school experience. Our primary goals are to contribute to supplement our core academic programs in order to provide additional rigor and challenge.

Additionally, with the increase in class size we would potentially like to provide classroom instructional assistants as needed to support student learning. As constraints continue we are also in need of technology funding to refurbish and maintain our state of the art SMARTBOARDS and equipment. Providing our staff with relevant and informative professional development is another investment that we can not afford to lose at this time. The on-going costs of our campus beautification efforts are a continuous area of need as we work hard to create a campus environment that is welcoming. The investment you make to Arroyo is one that will continue to bring excellence and pride to all our students and families as we work diligently to create tomorrow’s innovators, leaders, critical thinkers, and engaged citizens.

Fit Tuesday: If any of you are not familiar with Fit Tuesday, ask your kids. They will tell you all about the exercises and training that they do every week under the enthusiastic and dedicated direction of Fenny Kokenge, Laurie Skeen and their amazing group of parent volunteers. Not only is this program helping to improve the strength and fitness of our kids, but it is also preparing them for their 5th grade Presidential fitness test and for the daily PE classes that they must all take in middle school. If every family could donate $40 per child, we could raise the $13,500 needed to pay for the program for next year.

Kinder Aides: Kinder Aides for better grades! Help Arroyo fund the two extra aides for the Kindergarten classes.

Fall Fundraiser:

The Jogathon event JOG FOR SUCCESS is set for Friday, October 21st. All Arroyo students participate in our Jogathon by running laps around our mile track with their class during a designated time. Each child receives a free t-shirt for participating. This fundraiser is a crucial part in raising money for the PTA to fund many school programs we know, love and expect including:

  • Art Masters
  • Jr. Great Books
  • Technology Support (including a dedicated technician)
  • Assemblies
  • Class Act
  • Classroom instructional material support

Those program above don't include the $37,500 in the budget just for classroom instructional aides to help with the increase in class size! We have it in the budget again this year and that is paid entirely by the PTA! We are so proud to report that our school's API score grew to 952 this year. Even with the challenges our school is facing with budget cuts and more, Arroyo was able to hit the highest score the school has ever received. This is a 26 point gain which is amazing given the already great scores we were achieving. Let's get a head start on making our school the best! Thank you for your support.

Any student who raises $100 or more will be eligible for a drawing for lunch with the principal.  6 kids will dine with Mrs. Villegas.  Names will be drawn the Friday after the jog-a-thon. Starting next Friday, and the Friday after that, we will be giving away a few goodies picking from those who have turned in their contributions (online or envelope).  So get your donations in! Thanks to our fabulously generous sponsors, we are raffling off 2 iPads!  The sponsors are listed at our jogathon web page http://arroyo.tustin.k12.ca.us/jogathon.html - check it out!

Lastly, for families who contribute $250 and become a Mustang Club Member, each child in the Arroyo family will receive 10 opportunity chances for the iPads!!  Families with just one student will receive 15 chances.  Thank you in advance for your support.  You can donate online @ arroyofundraiser.com or turn in your manilla envelope to your teacher. Spring Fundraiser

Based on the success of last year’s event, we are once again keeping the evening casual and affordably priced in the hopes that many of our parents will attend. There will be a selection of great food, dancing and lots of opportunities to support our school with your donations. Tickets are priced at $55 and are $65 at the door. If you can't make it to the event, you can still donate here. You can also help by donating items for the live auction:


We are looking for family / corporate donations for our live auction and a limited number of silent auction items. Some ideas for possible donations include:

  • tickets to the theater, concerts or sports events
  • vacation homes or timeshares
  • hosted dinners, parties,  or shopping trips
  • travel or airfare vouchers
  • professional services
